Half way through my RTW business trip, and with a day before my return flight back to Sydney, I am asked to attend a meeting in Oslo. VS and BA both want over GBP2000 one way, Continental ask GBP900 for a Z class fare. The flight was 4th February and with very favourable, if not turbulent tail winds, the B757-200 completed the flight in a brisk 6h 30m.
This was not an Upper Class Suite experience, but on a flight this short you cannot complain. The service and food were excellent and I really mean it - as good as other carriers 1st class, including Lobster, a large salad and soy crispy chicken. The rest was ok - the cabin and seating felt like a 3rd world carriers business class. The seat is large and comfortable as a seat, but as a bed its not up to much. The IFE entertainment....I do not know where to start, so gave up after 2 minutes with it - appauling.
I would fly CO again - the service was standout and I did sleep for 4 hours so it was not all bad.
