Tracked the Thomson 787 yesterday on route to BGI. Went more or less straight to 43.000ft and stayed there until final descent. Cabin pressure is advertised to be higher on these than earlier A/C, and obviously outside air pressure drops with altitude, so pressure differential is quite a bit more that older A/C.
They obviously test this, but I wonder how many cycles .... Perhaps another good reason for VA to hold off .......
