Can anyone tell me if there is a web-site or page with the LGW duty-free prices on? The BAA used to do it but they have now stopped, just trying to see if it's cheaper to pr-order with VA:D

Dave,

Any time I want to check prices with them[}:)] I just give them a call. ( I work for the opposition);)

Tel 01293-502 029 (South Term) Shop.

Usually quite helpful, but have a list of what you want to check first.

Thanks Iain, I just might do that. It's just that if the cigs are cheaper in World than on the VA flight I might forgo the miles and save the money:)

In most cases that I have seen, prices for cigs are cheaper to buy on board except when you buy the large multi packs i.e 1000's, which are not carried on board most aircraft. 200 blocks though should be slightly cheaper.

They are with my firm anyway, and the airlines we supply;)

Bear in mind it could be even cheaper at your destination in Duty Free on the way back.

Was at the Duty Free shop in Vegas a few days ago, and VS crew around me were stocking up on cigs, and commenting that it's cheaper than the stuff they sell on board! :)

edit: Just wanted to add some prices - $23 for 200 Marlboro Ultra Lights, $21 for 200 Lucky Strike.

Dave,
If you pre order on VS you'll get 10 miles per £1 spent - a consideration if your a miles whore:D

Obviously thats 12 points if you use a VS Credit card (the £80 one)

just my $0.02
