Best way to pre select UC S?

Sorry, probably a silly question but we're booked to fly UC through VH, can anyone tell me the easiest way to pre-select my seats - should I do it via the online manage your flights, or call flying club (I'm a silver member)? Or is there another way you'd recommend?
