I may be being rather dense, but I thought they had all been UCS completed already?

(Remember, Odyssey stays as a current IFE system for now...)

Good Point Alan and nice comparison!!!!

I would like to think that Nova would be ahead of Odyssey on the list to be replaced first. Especially after recent TR's mention Nova not working properly.

At least Odyssey now offers SMS/email facilities as with V:Port.

Well............ If the present trend continues the majority of LHR 400's with Oddyssey on will end up at LGW having been replaced with Airbuses :) (2 have already been converted. So perhaps the SH*T Nova system will be gone with the ex-Alitalia 400's. Having just got back from MCO yesterday the Skymap wasn't working and the CSM had to spend the 1st hour trying to get the IFE to work properly!

In the voice of Basil Fawlty, whatever you do, don't mention the ex-Alitalia planes. I did once, but I think I got away with it.;) They were never with Alitalia, just a cancelled order for them.

Having just done the MCO run on V-ROS and V-ROY, the former is starting to look a little rough around the edges. The sooner the LHR 400's move to LGW the better[y]

I agree the 744s are getting a bit dated, but they're still my favourite planes. I find the A346 too long and thin. What will they replace the 744s with? More A346s? Have VS bought more 744s? Or will we have to wait for the A380s? Anybody have any idea what innovative new funky stuff-a-la-Virgin they have planned for the new A380s? I can't wait! :D:D:D

How funny that everyone wants the LHR 400 at LGW.

The LGW a/c are all under 4 years old but you say it looks worn????

Worn where??? I think they look very good.

Interesting I think. since the LHR 400 are all older.

I agree, the LGW 744's are in very good condition.

maybe people just want the LHR versions to get V:Port!

Too right with the IFE! Having just traveled UCS for the first time I was surprised at the worn appearence of the suite I was in especially around the screen.
At least with the LHR 400's we wouldn't have to put up with NOVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
