Well, not sure which Holiday Inn they're on about, but here's a link to the Croydon Park Hotel website

I'll go with the flow - either hotel is fine by me

(BTW, I know it says jacket & tie for the blokes, but who fancies going the whole hog again? [:D])

Cheers

Yeah, I'm up for that [:D]

BTW the 'weekend rate' (which includes full English Breakfast-Service-VAT-Car Parking & the use of the leisure facilities) on the Croydon Park web site is only 60 which is less than the rate VH are quoting. I vote we book direct with the Croydon Park Hotel. Although the VH rate does include transport to the venue [:?]

DJ yup... I'm betting us Amex types will prefer the Holiday Inn! So just to confirm it's not a block book like last time? How do we get on if we're not VHers then?

Would suggest that Richard coords who is staying, when we have numbers, see if V-flyer can get a good rate? Personally I would prefer the HI.

Has to be DJ surely [8D]

HIX is showing no availability at all for the night of 9th September [n]

HI Sutton has rooms from 67.50 + VAT + BF

Having been to a few functions at the HI Sutton, I would not rate it much more than a HIX[:(]

The Croydon Hilton would be much closer and has a few good rates for those wanting to earn[;)]

On the other hand, even though I am local, I would opt for the Croydon Park (which has been a HI and a Best Western in its time).

I suggest we await the return of Richard to see how the land lay

Croydon Park is a little closer than Croydon Hilton, rates appear comparable - no BF included in the Hilton. Happy to go with the majority.

WE'll go with the majority but would obviously favour the Hilton :)

Mrs Buns & I will be wishing to take full advantage of meetiing up again with V-Flyers so will stay the night (albeit the Addington Palace is about 15 minutes from home[:w][:w])

We too will fall in with the majority

Should we put a poll up?

Seriously, though - we have a few options now:

1) Croydon Park Hotel (With transport)
2) Holiday Inn Sutton (With transport?)
3) Holiday Inn Express Croydon (but no availability now)
4) Hilton Croydon (without transport?)

Bearing in mind rates change, and people will be considering booking asap - We should really get a general opinion sooner rather than later.

I'm up for the Hilton, by the way: 60 inc. breakfast (AP) or 65 Fully Flex.

I've booked the Hilton for the 9th Sept - but on the flexible rate just in case you all change your mind.

Looks like my easiest option is flying to LGW then train to Croydon....or then again I might even drive down for a change.
