maybe a better idea would be to suggest what pub we will meet in after Scouts in Bondage/various meals.
That way everyone can eat what they want and still drink ourselves silly in fantastic company.

Many a Sunday morning was spent doing boat races with the Aussies, Paddy's and Jocks. Probably a good thing it is gone[;)]

It may be long gone from where it used to be in Kings Cross/Islington but is is now here and I am well advised (by my straight rugby playing friends) very much unchanged to what you have described above [:w][:?]

Crikey, that takes me back. It was a veritable rite of passage for those in their early/mid 20's, back in the days when I still did queues. Amazed I can still remember anything about it considering the gallons of lager that were consumed on that voucher system they did. I never did work out what the point of that was.

Wasn't that the place that sold the drink in bags?

Nope. You had to buy vouchers which were exchanged for tins [:?]

Funny you should ask....[:D][:D]

I have come up with some options, all less than 5 minutes walk from the Favoured Hotel of the Travelodge Farringdon:

The Local Pub
Indian or
Pizza

So any takers??

'cor blimey guvnor' (this is a much cockney as I can do) - you must be a very fast walker ! It is a long but not steep hill up to Finsbury and would take me c20 mins and I am a fast walker - and it defo a taxi for Catherine (in her heels)[:w]

All look fine to me Buns, I am happy with any of those choices. I guess the Italian will cater to the most palates?

Well then I think you may need to start a Facebook group; if its good enough to get a song to Christmas #1, then its good enough to get some NaCl restocked.
