Exit row seats on 777

Wondered if anyone could help here please?
My parents are having a break in Orlando next week and flying BA on the 777-200 in Economy. I would like to upgrade them to the exit row seats, but they only have two available on the side where the toilets are. Does anyone know how close they are to the seats, do the doors open in view of the seats? Does it get crowded in that area with people waiting to use the toilet? If anyone has any views/experiences, I would be very grateful.
