BA Domestic Club Europe Upgrade

I am flying from MAN - LHR with BA next weekend. I have been offered a club Europe upgrade for £59. Is this a good price ? and will it go up or down if i wait? I know its only a short flight, but thought with the lounge access and a quick meal and drink on board i might give it a try.

Any advice as always is welcome.

Personally I'd spend a fiver on some sandwiches / snacks and save the rest of the cash.

But if you needed the extra tier points to get you a higher status then I'd go for it based on the longer term benefits.

You could do a dummy booking for your flight and see how much more Club Europe costs and then decide. I'm pretty sure it's a lot more than £59 to upgrade at the time of booking.

Only you know what £59 is worth.

Not worth it IMHO. The actual flight time MAN>LHR is only about 40 minutes anyway. The BA lounge in T3 is often busy as well.

Thanks for all your advice everyone. I decided to go for it, you only live once :D We are going for a special occasion, and we were going to buy lounge access anyway, so, all in all only a few pounds more!!

Thanks again,

Cath

Remember Club Europe also gives you a better baggage allowance - 2 x 32kg instead of 1 x23kg ( very useful if connecting to/from an upper flight)

I would only take up the offer if I needed the Tier points

You'll get lounge access at MAN, a light meal on board with bar service, extra Avios and 40 Tier Points. Generally always first off the 'plane too. My last domestic CE flight even had a separate CE bus (as yeah, it was a bus to gate.)

Does anyone know if you get fast track security at Manchester? We are travelling had luggage only, if it is included, is it on your boarding pass when you check in online?

You should do yes, but be warned T3 security at MAN is often a complete zoo!! Fastrak is often not very fast especially in T3.
