Just announced this week is a new theme park being built by Universal Orlando - the third park to their portfolio (or fourth if you count Volcano Bay water park). Unsurprisingly, there's no room for it next to the existing parks, so it looks like it'll be built on a large plot of land Universal own next to the Lockheed Martin site about 10-15mins away.

There appears to be no further details at this stage with respect to attractions, timelines etc., other than there will also be hotels built on the site, something Universal have been heavily expanding in recent years with Cabana Bay, Sapphire Falls, Aventura and the old Wet 'n' Wild site and car park becoming home to the two Endless Summer hotels.

There's also an interesting article on Orlando Informer which provides some historical background over Universal's original expansion plans years ago. I didn't realise that at one point they effectively wanted to replicate what Disney had by building golf courses and its answer to the Wide World of Sports Complex as well as owning more land than they do now.

At this rate, if you wanted to do a park per day in Orlando alone including water parks I reckon you would need a full two weeks, stretching to three if you wanted to go further afield such as Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Centre, Legoland or have a rest day in between. That said, it's possible to do more than one park in a day if you flag some attractions.
