After an overnight stay at the LAX Hilton it was time to head to the airport. My partner's flight to HNL was at 08:00 and mine to LAS was at 09:20. We headed over on the shuttle together and dropped bags off in the priority access area of Terminal 4. Security was fairly quick - the best bit was that the TSA agent was fun and friendly with everyone. Very unusual.

Although we could use the Admirals Club, we headed off to Chilis instead - no real breakfast options in the AC anyway. After breakfast, we nipped into the lounge briefly - got free bottle of water to go and then walked down to my partner's gate which had just started boarding. I headed back to lounge and did some work before my flight.

The plane down was an S80 - I was in first which is 2-2 and bigger seats but similarish leg room to VS premium economy. Everyone boarded and then we sat there - lack of tug followed by lots of other planes pushing back / arriving. Finally left gate around 30 mins late.

Shortish flight of about 47 minutes. Coach had water / apple / orange juice whereas in First we had a choice of drinks (including alcohol) and a packet of savoury snacks. I had a spicy tomato juice - no vodka as too early for me! Drinks came in proper glasses or a large mug for hot drinks. There was also inflight WiFi - I didn't really need it but thought I would try it out anyway. Was $1.95 for 15 - kinda fun for a try.

Arrived to a busy terminal and had to wait a while for bags to appear. Some flights that come into terminal 1 claim their bags in the new terminal 3 - AA still uses the terminal 1 baggage claim though. My came out with handle missing - apparently handles aren't covered by AA claims. However when I pushed being a premium passenger and card holder, he offered to exchange there and then! Result! Headed for the taxi queue - outside and boy was it hot!!

TSA agent that is fun and friendly ?| ?| was he/she drunk??

Nice on the bag swap - did something similar with VS and got a voucher for a new case... good to see the airlines taking care of their FF.

Cheers for posting 8D

How long were you in Vegas? - did they even bother asking business of pleasure :P
