After a nice evening out (retirement dinner and drinks) and stop at the nearly rebranded Waldorf Astoria Caledonian Hotel, it was time to head off to the airport. Straight up to security - for some reason BA doesn't pay for fast track at Edinburgh like other airlines.

Short stay in lounge before heading off to the gate. Boarding was fairly quick as only 50 or so people on board. Initially I had rows 1-6 all to myself - something to do with the fact of weight balance but I had preselected my seat luckily.

Short flight - nice crew who were attentive. Some interesting poppadom snacks now - not as nice as the tomato and basil in my opinion.

Arrived a little early at LCY and parked up.....and then waited. No steps appeared at the front door - finally an announcement that the steps for the front door were leaking hydraulic fluid and so couldn't be moved. Obviously there being no spare steps at LCY meant we had to all disembark from the back. Typical as I was in the front row!!

Overall good flight with little hiccup of the steps issue.

Implying you were needed at the front to balance the weight of the other pax? :P

Another TR from yourself that is direct and to the point, keep going... y) I am afraid that I usually write mine after having a few, so do get sidetracked on occasion..

Cheers for posting 8D

Sigh. How envious I am. Lived there during the week for 3 years. Home from home...

Nice TR, I've heard good things about cityflyer.

They always used to pay for it as their speedy boarding pax used it
