Following morning headed over to the North Terminal and dropped bag off collecting boarding pass from the Club / First check-in area. Through fast track security which was fairly quick for a change. Avoided the shops and off to lounge. Fairly quiet this morning and settled by window with a diet coke and some work to do. Flight came up as boarding on time and it was off to the satellite gates....long walk! Boarding almost complete and settled fairly quickly into 1A.
Shortish taxi but then a wait to take off, pilot explaining that this due to single runway at LGW.
After take-off, hot towels and the breakfast - pretty tasty and well received as hungry. Settled down to do some work on flight and the flight seemed to fly by. Soon we were flying down the Croatian coastline and then over Dubrovnik. Spotted hotel I was to be staying at and great view of old town.
Landed in nice sunshine. Very short taxi to terminal and we were off. Passengers in 1D/F were obviously very important - greeted at end of steps, hand luggage carried for them and separate immigration queue. I was actually through immigration pretty fast and then waited for quite a while for bags to appear. The conference people had pre-booked transport which was waiting on arrival.
All in all a very pleasant flight a d service on board appropriate and pleasant.
Just for information - first day lovely sunshine, whereas second day was raining ++++ with very rough sea. Almost like Brighton in the winter - very different days and nut what I was expecting at this time if year in Dubrovnnik!
