arriving at the gate the sign wa sshowing a dleay to 1815. Ia sked the chap manning it how close that was and his answer 'dont shout it out but 630 will be lucky'...and at that moment it changed to 650
a quick trip to the help desk where the lady was besiged with angry new yorkers all insisting they HAD to be home on time (maybe they might miss dinner), my turn and in my finest plummy James Bond englash accent I eplained the connection and asked about a swap to the later,now earlier flight. probably amazed not to be abused she did indeed tarnsfer me all at no cost
so the 626 took off on time and after the usual pleasant trip, great CC ,free snacks,live Tv and a very pleasant fellow PAX a peurto Rican guy from NY paying a suprise visit to see his mum, we landed at JFK just before 9. I managed to be first off the plane and power walked to the airtrain , a 3 minute trip to T4 and I was in plnty of time.............
just all round a great flight
