Headed out to T5 from work by taxi in relatively short time for a change. Airport seemed fairly quiet - fast track was very quick but even normal security was empty. Straight off to the South Galleries to catch up on some work, a snack and a glass or two of wine. By now having arrived back from Cancun earlier in morning (08:17 arrival at LGW - trip report to follow), I was starting to flag!

Boarded pretty much on time, with fast track boarding clearly in operation. In Row 1 for quick escape at NCL. Pretty much full flight. Pushed back on time but a long taxi and the held for ages before we could go.

Once in the air, the flight was pretty much like any domestic flight. Very short - about 40 minutes so the crew worked very fast to do the drinks service. Vodka/diet coke and a savoury snack - items have changed and no longer BA branded items. Maybe sponsored? Crew were happy, cheerful and professional throughout.

Arrived at NCL and on stand 2 minutes late. Straight through security and into taxi into town.

All in all a good flight!

I do find reading these domestic TRs makes me think about why I don't travel short haul more often... I guess it is because if I am going on holiday it is always to some far off place and if it is work, they usually pack us onto a train for the short hops n(

Cheers for posting 8D
