This flight had even fewer Crown Class passngers!
After take-off more drinks/nuts and then lunch service. Given that this is a relatively short flight (just about 2 hours or so), the meal service is more conventional and no trolley to choose from this time.
Appertiser plate of
- Smoked salmon rosette
- Marinated beef fillet Thai style
- Green and white asparagus
Served with seasonal salad
Main Course (choice of 1 plated)
- Cubed lamb in Massaman sauce, jasmine rice and stir-fried Taiwan cabbage

- Pan-fried Tap Tim fish in yellow bean sauce, fried rice and oriental vegetables

Cheese and arabic date cake
The appertisers were all good (esp the Thai beef) and then I had the cubed lamb (really good). Cheese was a pre-wrapped piece of Camberet - passed on this one. The arabic date cake was really good.
Again very tasty food, served well and hot. Some airlines could learn from RJ inflight catering as it is much better than most inflight meals I have had!
Arrived early to a very quiet Hong Kong immigration and through very quickly. Then the nervous wait by the baggage belt for our cases to appear given the transit and technical stop in Bangkok. Although they didn't appear with the initial Crown Class bags, both cases then arrived next to each other even though we had checked in at least an hour apart! Phew!!
