Well this was the start to the defence of my VS title. ORK to LHR via EI. Got to the airport just before 1pm. We parked in the long term overflow carpark which is like an off road dirt track with pot holes everywhere. We found a spot just outside of the new terminal which is due to be open on May 10th (i have heard from two people that work at the airport that this is unlikely to happen). The shuttle bus came and dropped us right outside the terminal.

We Had to first go over to the ticket desk to pay for the golf clubs (they have to make their money off me). We used to DIY check in Kiosks which are so easy, a chimp could use. Droped the clubs at the bag drop and went upstairs for some food. Did some plane spotting or should i say empty ramp spotting.

Got through security easily and watched our plane come in, EI-CPF, a scarebus 321. We boarded ontime and settled into my seat 10A. This seat was great. Its an exit row with no seat infront so unlimited legroom[y]. The seat next to us was also free so even better. All i can say is thank god that we weren't in row 9. Even though there are only 2 seats, this row has Ryanair legroom[n]. The flight was about 80% full.

Took off ontime down runway 17 and turned east towards LHR. Soon after take off the crew started their cabin service which is Buy on Board. Didnt have anything and just sat back and listened to my iPod. I must say that these new EI seat are great. Very confortable and good quality. We started our decent early into LHR. My ears started going crazy which doesnt usually happen to me at all.

We landed early and exited the runway on one of the high speed taxiways which was just by our gate at terminal 1. We got off the plane quickly and the golf clubs came off quick enough. No queues at the car hire and made our way via shuttle bus to collect our car. Man there is some brillant views of the runway from the hertz lot. We saw a JAL 777-300er go and other aircraft, mainly babybuses. Soon enough we were on our way to Manor House
