Seat: Average / Very Good
Food & Drink : Excellent
Entertainment : Excellent
Cabin Crew : Excellent
Collected baggage, went up stairs to check-in & agent directed me to the e-check-in area advising it would be quicker than queuing for the traditional check-in area. So I did.
Excellent check-in!
There was a couple dozen check-in comps, with 2 sharing scales. After check-in , an agent got you to lift your bags up, checked weight & then tagged bags & sent them on their way.
System seemed to work great - as one check-in agent was able to cover the baggage check-in for 6-8 computers, while 6-8 people could check their party in.
Seating - Already knew I wouldnt be sat with wife (having checked seat maps before booking fliht), so unlike previous flight where it was forced, at least this time it was through choice & was only for an hour.
This time my wife took the seat to the front, while I went up the back - 25B ... Excellent seat!
2 guys I was between were a riot, which possibly helped.
Inflight service was great - soft drinks free, alcohol extra. No food (nto in air long enough to worry!)
Inflight entertainment - asides the idiots either side of me, the flip-down screens alternated pictures of routes AW/US fly with questions from Brainiac ... Good entertainment for such a short flight (in air less than an hour , although gate-gate is just over).
Cabin Crew were wonderful as well, very professional.
Also - given the cost of booking flight (could have had $99 each way) - worth it just for the views of desert , grand canyon & hoover dam - although Im probably still gonna go for the helicopter trip to get closer...
Would most certainly fly AmericanWest again based on this flight , hope US Airways dont change anything other than the name.
