Heathrow Rewards (formally BAA WorldPoints) now on Passbook

Just received an email from Heathrow Rewards (what used to be BAA WorldPoints) with a link at the bottom to add your card to iOS's Passbook.

One less card to carry round with you

Hmmm... the two places I used my card last week in T1 needed to swipe the card in a reader.

I presume they can scan your iPhone passbook barcode in the same way they scan the bar codes on boarding passes.

Could be.
If they've integrated it into their shop system - as previously the worldpoints swipey thing was a separate system to their till.

Ah.. new email from Heathrow Rewards clarifies - looks like the Passbook virtual card can be used in World Duty Free and Dixons. Everywhere else will need the physical card to be swiped.
