Just noticed that at the moment CoPilot US (a full sat-nav iPhone app) is on special offer at only £2.99 in the iTunes App Store.

No data connection needed during use as all the maps/info are included as part of the download (although it's quite large at ~1.2GB). You also get free maps updates until December.

I use CoPilot UK on my iPhone which is fantastic and is as good as a TomTom sat-nav for a fraction of the price.

Might be useful for anyone hiring a car in the US as hiring sat-navs can be quite pricey

Although I prefer my tomtom for driving, the CoPilot is ideal for when out walking.

Bought a refurb TomTom Go 910 a while back that included the USA as I doubt we will get a car with the Hertz Neverlost included this year! However this app is such good value I have bought it and now will probably not take the TomTom as the 910 is quite bulky and a i have a window suction mount for the iphone.

Hmm, just thought that is for the 3Gs not the 4, wonder if it will fit? ...

... answer no! Bugger, may take the TomTom then! LOL

Off to Boston tomorrow with a hired Hertz car.. This will be perfect!!
