Reportedly one fatality after an in-flight uncontained portside engine failure on SW1380 Boeing 737 from LGA to DFW.

Emergency landing at PHL; no emergency slides.

Looking at the damage to the engine nacelle, and the fact that there appears to have been a penetration of the fuselage with loss of a window at seat 14A, the flight crew did a bloody good job.

Just reading this on the news websites. Absolutely horrendous and thoughts are with the crew, passengers and relatives of those on board.

Funny how even in a potentially catastrophic emergency, some still find time to take photos of themselves for social media.
