You can only access the Clubhouse on the following grounds:

Upper Class ticket (paid or miles)
VS FC Gold Card
BMI Gold Card (on VS flight)
Amex Centurion Card
FlyingCo. Voucher
Virgin Holidays Clubhouse add-on with existing booking (£65/70?)

If you have none of the above, I'm afraid not. No access to the Clubhouse.

if you are very lucky there might be another generous V-flyer FC Au Card holder or UC passenger who would consider taking you in as a guest if they are flying the same day. You should check the itineries.

Robert is right. If you post on the itinerary forum not only might you get an invite but you also get a little plane thingy underneath your name [y]

I managed to get a bargain on my ticket through STA travel!

LHR/HKG/SYD with VS
SYD/AKL/LAX/LHR with NZ

£619 + tax = £854 then bough low cost flights with Jetstar, virgin Blue etc.

That ticket is issued through NZ as principal carrier though.
