Hi guys,
Just found out i cant use my miles to upgrade to PE in december because of the time of year. This is fair enough but my question is can i upgrade to PE to EWR in august as an escorted minor?

Thanks. You guys never fail to impress![oo]

ISTBC but the december thing is purely about availablity - when the flights are full there are fewno upgrade tickets available. In August this may be different, but remember August is also a busy time because of the school holidays.

Can I just ask, as a minor, do you have your own independant FC account? I think this may affect the rules of UG with miles.

Arh, I see what you mean. Sorry I didn't get the thrust of your question first time. Not sure in that case, I have to admit its not something that has come up before. It really is quite a specialist question. I wonder if it maybe best to ring the flying club. I would be interested in an answer if you get one.

For the avoidance of doubt here - do you mean an escorted or an unescorted minor? Just that an escorted minor is normally seen as just being a normal pax.

G-VFLY - I'm not sure if this is what you mean but you can use the unaccompanied minor service and use miles to upgrade. I'm not sure what age you are but if you are under 12 Virgin's unaccompanied minors service is VERY uncompetitive. Children using this service have to pay the full adult fare whereas most airlines simply charge the normal child fare plus a small fee (about £32 for BA) If you are over 12 then this obviously isn't an issue. You may also have to wait in the childrens lounge until your flight is called.

Hi

I have flown VS (sorry i ment unescorted minor) You wait with your parents untill 1 hour before departure and then VS staff take you through straight to the Aircraft.

Flying club siad that you can upgrade and have the escort service as long as you are over 12. Fine for me! lol
