The LGW fleet does not have a row 24. There is a small forward cabin row 20-23, which has seats only assigned on the day by the airport staff. Where Row 24 would be is an exit door, which does have a window in it.

Hope that helps.

hmmmmm... then it may have had a different reconfiguration when the seats were put in.

Must be the last row in the forward cabin? Did you do DIY check-in to get those seats?

I suspect it has a window, because the only 'window' seats I know of which do not actually have a view are in row 19 on the Airbus A340.

Welcome to V-Flyer, by the way. Enjoy your flight, and come back and post a TR when you return!

Yes, just did DIY check in and it was a choice between that or 62AB but I decided to go for the quieter cabin than the space at the side of the seat...lets hope there is a window!

You can post a 'seat report' too! Enjoy your time in the sun!

I mentioned this last September. The aircraft my family flew on LGW-MCO had row 24 which they booked into - I was concerned as I had never seen it on other aircraft. Can't remember the name of the aircraft - it was the silver one with odyssey fitted - think it may be Ladybird?

Dont quote me on this but I have a feeling row 48 on LHR B744 (and reconfig LGW/MAN) dont have a window at row 48?

Just checked with my family for you - as it was my sons and girlfriends who sat in row 23 and 24.

If you trust a 16 year old (probably got a better memory than me) - he says it definitely had a window.

Have a good flight!

Today's 27, which the one altitude is on, is G-VAST (Ladybird) which IIRC was not one of the canx Alitalia order and at the beginning of 2005 appears to have been still flying the LHR route. This appears, when it was refurbed to UCS, to have been given a row 24 which does not appear on the bulk of the LGW fleet.

Whilst I think this still needs to be confirmed further, we may need to make subtle changes to some of the LGW fleet seat maps.

Ah it was Ladybird then - glad to know my memory is not as bad as I thought and I'm not quite due for the kn****ers yard yet!

The ex LHR planes now transferred to LGW do have a row 24.

The original LGW planes dont have row 24 as there is toilet behind row 23!

Hope this helps.

So I guess we need a 3rd type of 744 seat map. LHR Suite, LGW/MAN Suite, and LGW/MAN ex LHR Suite.

Are there any other seat/layout changes on the ex LHR suites?
