This is beginning to feel like a 12 point meeting, "Hi, I'm RR and I'm a VS upgrade junky"

but really it is that simple. Having flown VS Y only once in the past five years, (and it was, unfortunately, dreadful, my knees still cringe tenderly at the thought of being rammed by a reclined seat) I have convinced myself that I simply must fly PE or UC. And now of course,it seems UC (how could I do without the Clubhouse?) often wins out over common sense.
Am I not such a valuable employee that I "deserve" to arrive refreshed and well rested (and of course well fed, well wined and well spoilt)?
Having recently changed jobs, it will be interesting to see if my new employer agrees with my analysis of relative costs as related to my comfort level. Have noted that PE has slowly risen to be rather more costly than past (rare to see a "deal" on PE) so it seems rather thoughtful and of economic sense to pay for an S and upgrade to UC if the price is right, making UC affordable and always lovely.
As I always fly just under the radar to achieve gold (close but no cigar) I don't count on op ups and am always v grateful when they serendipitously arrive.
A little over three weeks until that next business flight...and already daydreaming about which chardonnays will be stocked, lobster and crab salad and sleeping soundly under a down duvet while zooming through the night five miles high.
Frankly, I see it as comparable to a mini vacation that gets me in just the right mind to be sharply "on" for work. Now, how to get that across to the new boss...[i]
