Lewis the Duck

I have got 7 Lewis the ducks - or Lewi in the plural!!! I have posted some pics of them in action!!!!

I think its a real shame that VS stopped giving them out with the amenity packs!!! I even wrote to VS and filled in 3 or 4 questionnaires about him.

Interstingly his name is stamped on the bottom of every one - and they are in 2 diffrent sizes - one slightly bigger than the other ( which I guess is a bit of an obvious thing to say)


Anyone got any ideas on the whys and whereofores of either his introduction or ultimate withdrawl?[:#]

Not sure why he was introduced. But he stopped flying when the "out of season" period for ducks was scrapped. Frankly it became too dangerous for lewis to fly. Bang! Bang!

I've a wee collection of ducks myself.. Hastings hotels give them away at Christmas (my company has their xmas do in the europa) complete with christmas hat and scarf and I always swipe a few!

Rats! The flying V formation reminded me I forgot to enter the Gibson flying V competition in the the Seat Back mag! Is it still open?

OMG - I loved those DUCKS! I had them lined up all across my monitor (probably 2 dozen of them) and colleagues used to take pot shots at them. WHY DID THEY STOPS GIVING THEM AWAY? From what I recall weren't they only give away in Econ (and maybe PE)?

Paul - whjat did you do with them? 2 Dozen!!!!! One day they will be worth loads of money - I did a search before I posted and apparently there was one for sale on e-bay but the ebay link has now disappeared?

I've got loads of these - i'd no idea they were collectable.

I had a few of them but most of them were sacrifciced a few years ago. One of the teachers in the school was nicknamed Duck because of the way he talked and looked. Anyway this 60 year old teacher walks in to find one of theses little Ducks on his desk. After putting it in his pocket, i produced 1 after another on his desk when he wasnt looking. I'd say he has a huge collection of these ducks and other ducks

I see that there is a theme developing with some "Lewi" pictures - hoew about a competition to see who can come up with the best pics - I see Mrs Lewis has had a screw fall out of her head!!!! - I tell you though i am deffo taking mine back on the plane next week to give them a fly out!!!!
