Tried to pre book seats 18A and C with VS today on the A346, but was told you cant pre book them.

Had a look on the seat ratings part of the site, but no specific seat jumped out at me.

What seats would anybody else reccomend/avoid in PE on the A346?

Cheers!

Avoid the ones at the back of the PE section - they back on to the loos and the loos on a 346 are pretty noisy. Otherwise they are much of a muchness.

I would go for the ones mid cabin as forward you get galley noise and aft you lav line noise/smell.

Always worth booking the two behind the bulkheads and then checking in early and asking for 18's - take a seat map with you and then it look slike you know what you are on about!!! Worked for me at CPT

Hi there

On the original style seat plan, Row 20 is my personal favourite in PE on the A346. Beware that row 19 does not have a window (certainly on the aurcraft i have been on) so just bear that in mins if a view is important to you - for thise 5 minutes of the journey where you can see something ;) Row 21 is directly infront of the toilet, but nobody behind.

Dont forget that the newer A346's have the extra seats (see here for the seatplan) which allows a little more choice.

MarkJ makes a good recommendation in securing some seats that you like (you can check in online to grab these) and enquire about changing to the exit row when you arrive at the airport

Thanks,
Sarah

I STILL don't see what the fuss is over row 18. For my last flight I had them preassigned but got them changed - row 19 or 20 are far better

The exit row will always hold a certain amount of attraction to most as there is nobody infront and a fair bit more room.

The PE exit rows on the 744 are highly coveted, but not my personal choice. I have been offered and refused exit rows several times. Personally, i like having my stuff under the seat infront, i prefer a moveable armrest and more space in the overhead compartment - but thats me. Others prefer those few extra inches to stretch out and the ability to get in and out of your seat a little easier. All down to personal preference.

Thanks,
Sarah

Agree with you Sarah for the 747 for all the reasons you state - also like the ones at the back (79LGW or 74LHR) upstairs because they mean you can put them back with no worry of anyone being behind - however on the 346/343 then I think the exist row just edges it!!

I might do when pay day comes round!

Although paying for a brand new car and a PE trip to Miami takes most of the small salary i bring home!

You've convinced me! Although i still have to wait till pay day!

Just out of interest, what kit do i qualify for? It says silver next to my posts, but dont i have to start with red and work my way up?

You qualify for a silver kit by virtue of the number of posts you have made. ISTBC but I think you would need to start off with the red kit (they are sequential) then go for the silver at the discounted price. Wether you actually do both is entirely up to you of course.

You are quite correct. Would you like me to split the topic?
