New service to BLR?

Thought a few people here may be interested to know of a rumour I have heard on the grape vine from my fellow Bangalore-Quasi-Residents.

VS are thought to be considering a service direct from LHR to BLR - possibly in response to the new direct BA service.

Does anyone have anymore information about this? I would love a direct service [^]

This would be fantastic. Connecting through DEL is a pain and BOM is, so I'm told, an airport worth avoiding.

I personally prefer to fly via BOM - more miles and this route now has the UCS!
