Environmentalists have accused Virgin Atlantic of double standards over an initiative to plant trees to compensate for the carbon dioxide emissions from limousines used to drive its customers to airports.
However, forgetting the rights/wrongs of this policy (which are detailed in the full article), I wasn't aware of any initiative in the first place. I would have thought VS would make a little song & dance about it?

The Virgin Atlantic fleet will primarily be made up of Volvo’s V70 and S80 models and will include optional Bi-Fuel and XC90 vehicles. Following Volvo's example as a CarbonNeutral company, Virgin Atlantic and Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services are actively exploring alternative environmental options, such as CarbonNeutral, to offset the emissions of the fleet in the near future.
