I sent 2 friends the email invite to join FC a couple of weeks back, before their first [under seperate booking numbers] PE flights. They followed the email links I sent them & signed up to FC, entered their booking details & flew their flights. I have yet to recieve the FC miles. (Their outward, so first qualifying, flight was over 2 weeks ago).

Having looked at the FC website, it says you should get the miles within 7 days of the new members first qualifying flight. Are the delays I am experiencing normal / how do you claim the missing miles? The FC website only lets you claim online for missing miles for flights you made.

I guess it's a case of a phone call to FC, but would like to know if the delays are normal [despite what the FC website says] first. I know it took Virgin Wines over 3 months to give me the 1000 mile bonus for my first order last year.

Have your friends taken their return portion of the flight? If they have, ring FC and they can check for you.

If they have not yet returned, the miles will be credited when the other half of the qualifying flight goes into their account.

Juliet

Juliet - thanks for the info. They only got back into LGW last Sunday morning, so will give it another week before chasing Flying Club up for the miles. Hopefully there will be no need to chase them up!

That's wrong Jonathan - yes, VH book into H class for PE, but all PE (& UC) fares qualify for MMF. From the MMF page:
* Qualifying flights are: Economy (Y, B, L and M classes on all routes), Premium Economy (W, K, H and S classes) and Upper Class (J, D and Z classes). Miles Plus Money fares, special offers and complimentary upgrades will not qualify for miles. Travel on codeshare flights and partner airlines will not qualify for miles.

Cheers

I should have checked on VS (I used the fare class checker on here)
and should read T&C's better[:I]

Rarely qualifies for any promotion that is running for Premium Economy passengers, only notable exception is the MilesMoreFriends referral scheme

I should know better than to post late at night too![:w][:w]

They were both in W class, so 15k miles should be coming my way.

Tut tut Jonathan - back of the class. I think you may need to go back to Fare Class school for a refresher! [:p]

Now there's an idea, we could create an examination program and you have to can get various little icons next to your name when you reach certain criteria. That would be then be better than the RR model.

Thanks,
Richard
