Apologies for asking another tier points question. Based on the results of my search, there are plenty of them out there, but I have been unable to find the exact answer to my question - just the *hint* of an answer.
I am planning a series of trips over the next few months. They are:
LHR-JNB : Y return. Earning 4 Tier points
SIN-KUL : F return. Earning 10 Tier points
KUL-SIN : F one-way. Earning 5 tier points.
LHR-JNB : W return. Earning 6 tier points.
This gives me a total of 19 tier points earned between 4 months and therefore qualifies me as Silver. Over the next 10 months, I will earn the further 6 tier points and a balance of 11 tier points (as the 4 + 10 will have expired).
Therefore, will I have retained Silver? Or does the 10 Tier poitns have to be earned on flights taken after reaching Silver in the first place? (i.e. 1 point out of the 5 earned on KUL-SIN gives me silver. Can I count the other 4 towards retention?)
Thanks in advance.
