Delays in new FC cards being sent

My silver card expired in April and the I would have thought a new one should have been sent out ..... alas not so.

I e-mailed to request and got this reply

"There is currently an unavoidable delay in the despatch of Flying Club packs to those members who's accounts have been renewed recently. Your membership pack is currently awaiting despatch at the company that produces the documents on our behalf.

If you're travelling soon, please let us know and we can arrange for a temporary letter to be sent confirming your Flying Club Silver status."

Has anyone had this delay and if so, do you know how long it will be?

Apparently two packs should have been sent out to me months ago but I'm still waiting [:?]

I managed to finally receive my new card the other day, only been waiting two and a half months!!!!
