Got back this morning 33 hours door to door:D Will try and do a bit of a TR when I get straight at work.Only problem is that AA hadn't put our BAEC numbers correctly into their system[:(!](has to be done sector by sector, so the nice lady at the ORD flagship lounge told me)so no miles or TPs yet. Countless emails and phone calls to the BAEC to get it sorted in the next couple of weeks, unless the nice BA lady on FT can work her magic;).
The worst news that made it a rather sad trip was that our cat died the day after we left,We had had her for 14 years but as she came from the cat rescue we never really knew how old she was.

TBS and I both stayed at the Alii tower if you are also accommodated here you don't need to check-in at the main desks which can be packed, just head to the desk in the Tower itself. If you have amex plat or cent book through the FHR programme you get cont breakfast at the Alii terrace for 2 each morning, and a comp lunch for 2 at the rainbow lani.4pm late check-out is also useful as standard time is a mean 11am.Taxi from HNL takes about 20 minutes $35 each way with tip. There are 2 general stores on site ABC and Whalers, the booze at these is very reasonable $9 for a half decent bottle of plonk compared to $40 hotel price, 12 cans of bud $8 as apposed to over $6 a bottle, saved us a lot.

Chris so sorry about your cat.

We also made good use of ABC last year - there seems to be one every few metres in HNL.

My husband stocked up on beer, he hates to pay inflated hotel prices. He enjoyed the Japanese rice beer - called Ichibin (or something like that), which he's now discovered he can get in Wehtherspoons in the UK.

Looking forward to your TR.
