Hi Folks,

Would anyone be able to help me with the email l just sent to Virgin customer services, anyone at all would really appreciate it.

Yours Beggingfully

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

Please could you urgently help me, l am booked on this flight with my family on the flight to Orlando from Gatwick, l am travelling with my wife and two kids and my sisters are travelling also, there name is Ferguson (party of 8).

I booked this trip about 1 year ago and a few months ago we got help from virgin to assign the seats so that we will all be able to site together, we were assigned 33-36 ABC which was fantastic.

However today l tried to be one step ahead of the game and use virgin's check in online service but the computer would only give me 45C,D,E and F, which is obviously away from my family, so l am very upset that after spending over 2 hours on the phone this evening the lady l spoke to could NOT help me and told me to sort this out at check in.

I am absolutely gutted that l fell l am being punished for using the DIY check in online service and hadnt l have used the service l would not havemade the calls that l have and would not be sending you this email.

Please if you get this email in time before tomorrow's flight could you see it in your heart to give us the seats that were already assigned to us which is 35C, 36A, 36B and 36C as my family are distraught we are not sitting together and it gets our holiday off to a very sour note before its even began.

Yours hopefully

Derek - I think at this late stage all you are going to be able to do is do what the customer services have suggested and get to check in as early as you can to explain your predicament. Then see if they can move things.

I wish there was something we could do for you here but its a bit late now.

What time do you get to LGW?

Good luck tomorrow!![y]

Derek,

Just to be clear - members of this site do not work for Virgin Atlantic. Many staff members contribute, but this is not a direct communication method to the airline.

Sorry to hear of the difficulties you've experienced, good luck with finding a resolution...

Ok I understand now[:I][:w]

As Mark said, I think it's best if you get to the check-in early which will be your best chance of getting the seats you want.

Hi Folks,

Appreciate the replies,

MarkJ - I arrive at 0800 hrs flying down from Scotland on BA then transferring over to Virgin. thanks a lot appreciate it!

Preiffer - I understand this is not a direct communication tool with virgin and would not normally ask just a bit desperate for all our family to be seated together. thanks for your assistance.

VS045 - Hi my worry was that there will be loads of people in front of me already as l fly in from Scotland and most others will be from the local area.

We will see how it goes, will keep you guys posted, l really appreciate the fast response and if anyone else has any other good information then that would be fantastic.

Cheers for now folks this is a great site!

Derek I cannot help you directly but your mind may be eased by the fact that last week the flights out to MCO were VERY light.

I flew last Wednesday and the flight had only 135 passengers on board - only around a quarter of what the aircraft will hold.

I can't see that this week would be busier - if anything, half-term having come to an end, it should be quieter.

Have a great time - the weather here at the moment is absolutely wonderful!

Actually - that's a good point Jilly.

At the moment, that flight's showing as the following:

J5 D5 Z5 W7 S7 K7 Y2 B2 L2 M2 Q2 X2 N2

As a guide, the allocatable seats currently show as available:

1 in Upper
11 in PE
49 in Economy.

There are also a few complete blocks free:

50-52 A-C
50-51 H-K
39-40 H-K

Ah no can do I'm afriad - too tightfisted to sign to Experflyer;)

I'd expect Saturday to be busier though - but sure you'll have enough room in Upper and good luck getting those sausages, best have some in the clubhouse just in case.

Have a great flight

Sorry Gill, but you must be inputting the wrong data, as they certainly DO offer information for VS flights.
