We have an UC ticket booked through a travel agent for a holiday package to LA. The travel company tells us they have booked the cheapest fare code available. All we have is an e ticket so do not know the fare code. So we ring VA and they say its a D fare - thus can book a limo.

The only problem with this is, that when this happened last year no limo turned up. VA said they had made a mistake and had contracted our travel company to advise that the fare code was only Z - so no limo. But we were not told about this and had to get aa taxi to the airport. VA did refund the taxi fare.

So the question is how do I really know that I have a D fare class ticket with limo? Any suggestions?

You can ask the TA (or VS) for an e-ticket receipt by email or regular post.

This will have the fare basis clearly printed on it. [y]

Hi

As Paul says, the e ticket will have the class clearly printed on it - this is the extract for my upcoming flights:

07JUL VS 7 LHR 11:30 14:50 LAX Upper Class (G) OK VS
04AUG VS 20 SFO 16:30 10:30 LHR Upper Class (G) OK VS

Thanks guys, had not thought of asking for an e ticket receipt to get the class. I knew there must be a way to check this out!
