OLCI Exit Row Seats

Does anyone know if you can request exit row seats when using OLCI at LGW? My folks have prebooked some regular cattle class seats but usually try and get exit rows when at the airport, but we are thinking about getting them to use OLCI in September, but if they can't request exit seats me thinks they will have to queue.....

Sorry but the answer is no.

You have to prove to the check in staf that you are capable of opening the exit doors in an emergency - so they have to be able to see you!

If your folks want to try for exit seats then turn up as soon as check in opens.

And have their credit card ready to pay for the seats too - £50 each, or BOGOF if you take an A or K seat where the door slide eats into the extra legroom.
