... as in last post was 2.10p.m. (UK) and now it's 6 p.m.

Oh ... answer football (soccer to our US friends :D).

Well, at least England won [^] but what a lacklustre performance, we need better from the boys [y]

Yeah it was a pathetic performance. On Oxford Street poor things were singing their victory. Lucky they didn't play a proper team.

Bearing in mind what happened last time we got into a football 'discussion' on the site, and how quickly jingoistic / national pride comments can slide into personal / racist insult territory. Please keep all comments in this thread light hearted and / or related to the match itself. :D:D[8D]

Many thanks.

Can I just say that I'm glad I'm holidaying in a couny where nobody really takes an interest in the 'beautiful game' - it's a pity that I can't stay there till it's all over.....[}:)]

While not the best performance in the world the intense heat inside the ground sapped most of the players energy from about 25 mins in.
Consumed around 5 litres of water (yes water) myself during the game, and I was only watching it [:w]

Superb behavior from the England fans around the ground, not so sure about those without tickets who remained in Frankfurt
