I clicked on that link, Richard. It gave me the heebie jeebies just looking at it and I think I would be cr***ing myself if I actually went up thereImage Does look a great view though. I remember going up the elevator and it was pretty quick!

There's a phrase that is often used here in Scotland when dealing with offers to go on/up things of this nature...

"F*ck THAT!" [:0]

I can highly recommend the GBR, check out Quicksilver, they offer full tours from Cairns or Port Douglas and are well worth doing as they offer a whole range of activities on their moored ships.

Quicksilver is great but Ocean Spirit is fantastic.

Congrats on trip Honey. My experience of Oz is a bit rusty having last been there in 92 but hoping to make the trip with kids in the next couple of years.

I know you'll have a fantastic time.

Just bringing this up to the top as our trip is just a month away [y] It seems so long ago when we first started planning and it seems impossible to think it is almost on us.

One of my staff informed me she had a cousin who was involved in the cruises around the GBR and she put him in touch with me. (Don't staff like that make your job worthwhile?) It turns out he is the General Manager of Ocean Spirit and the tours looked fantastic. However he pointed out that it would mean a 6:30am start for us from Port Douglas and recommended Quicksilver. It is great to get such good reviews of both. Thanks to both of you [^]
