Just been wondering - have been a gold member for a few years now and met with some inconsistencies. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the actual policies that staff are supposed to follow. Specifically:
Have only been greeted as one on board - I think around 3-4 times out of say 20-30 times.
Now do they have instructions to greet gold members personally, or is its someones own initiative? And if they are supposed to welcome people on board, why is it not consistent.
Also sometimes on checkin we do not have to ask for fast track vouchers, then other times we do (and they do not look happy when asking). Should they automatically realise?
And finally when outside of the UK, sometimes they notice you are Gold and give you a lounge pass, and then other times you have to ask! And again results in you getting a stern look [:?].
Why we selected Virgin as an airline was the little things they did, but nowadays it seems to depend on whether the staff member is having a good day or not.
