Virgin America a partner?

When virgin america is unveiled here in the states, will it be a partner to VS? For example, if I travel on virgin america will the milage I earn count towards my VS account? When virgin america does go into service here, I plan on using them as my primary airline on internal US flights, so I was just wondering. Any ideas?

As of now the official answer from Virgin America is "no". Whether this is true or it is just to make it seem like they are not affiliated with Virgin is yet to be known. However we won't know for sure until Virgin America opens up. By the way, there is a separate Virgin America forum on this website, it has lots of information regarding the airline.
