UC places closer to the flying date

I regularly travel to Shanghai from London and always use my miles to upgrade to Upper Class, in the last 14 months, this has never been a problem.

However on my next trip, I just can NOT get any avaliability returning from Shanghai (PVG) to London around the 14th or 15th of Dec, in Fact am seeing no places in UC for a lot of December.

Luckily I managed to get a return on UC from HK as a back up, however this is a mission in itself but allows me to visit HK for half a day.

What I am trying to work out is this, is there any likelihood of seats being relased in the next 10-12 days on the Shanghai > London route, if so, how often and at what times should I be checking the Virgin site as such.

Any info greatly appreciated.

It's unlikely I'm afraid.

VS do sometimes release more reward seats when loads are light a few days before departure, but the VS251 is showing no availability at all in either Upper or Premium on the dates you want. There's also nothing for the following 2 days either. The first date showing any revenue availability in Upper is the 17th if that's any use to you.
