Aerosols

Should be packed where nowadays?

Checked luggage, otherwise they will get removed at security as they are classed as liquids.

I had an aerosol in my hand luggage at AKL a couple of weeks back which I had forgot to remove while on route to SFO.

The security staff at AKL advised me that I could carry it through to SFO providing it had a lid on it which wasn't damaged in any way.

Don't know whether this is policy or I whether might have bumped into a security staff member who wasn't playing by the rules...

I had one taken off me going through MAN last year.

I now carry one of those solid deodorant sticks which are OK (even though they can never see what it is on the X-Ray so it always has to be looked at by hand afterwards).
