Hi all

Looking for a bit of good gen: the last few times I flew LHR-LAX the aircraft was a 747. The seat map on the VS website for my flight LHR-LAX on 3 Feb shows an A340. Have VS changed the aircraft type for this route?

Cheers

Both daily flights to LAX are currently operated by an A346. A346's have been operating those flights for a while now. Good news if you are flying PE as its likely you'll get the new seats :)

Thanks,

VS007 changes back to a 744 on the 25/03/07 and will probably run through to the end of the summer timetable on this aircraft type.

VS7/8 has been operated on the winter timetable by a 346 for the last couple of years.....:D

Good luck with getting the new seating....[y]

Tony,
Seems as the VS7/8 combination is the one most Upper Class pax prefer by the way as, aside from being the one that utilizes 744s during the peak summer season, when you are tired and returning to LHR on VS8 after partying with the celebs in Hollywood your arrival time allows you to be in the Revivals Lounge for a hot shower and brekkie. The other flight, an A346, arrives after Revivals has closed.

Thanks for the informed replies. I'm flying VS23 outbound and VS8 inbound, and as the last time I flew that route was in August last year it now all starts to make sense.
I'm looking forward to trying out the new PE seat but will come back UC if I get a chance.

Cheers

A key decision maker for the timing of my flights also!

Shame we miss each other by a day!
