Well seeing as we don't have a forum for Virgin Galactic yet, I am going to post this here.

Looks like they have reached an agreement with the Swedish goverment to conduct flights.

Story here

Edit: moved to Virgin other brands forum

Thanks, Dave

Will Estrange also be the launch site for regular (whatever that is) flights or just these aurora borealis ones?

The way I am reading the story it will just be for when the aurora borealis is due to be active.

Waste of miles in my book, and anyway only one person per year can redeem the required 2m miles. Oh and the miles had to be earnt on VS metal or via spend on the VS AmEx. Has higher value than the Necker reward which ia 1m and gets you 2 people on a Celebration week (value ~$23-24k), compared to the Galactic trip which has a value of over $100k.

Would rather take 10 friends away somewhere in Upper roundtrip, twice.

Thanks,
Richard

Or take me away 10 times? :D

I'd love to do it, but i wouldnt spend my miles on it. I dont have and never will have that many to spare.

However, if you all want to gift me miles, i'll do the first ever V-Flyer trip report from Space for you all? :) Now thats worth so much more than your next upgrade isnt it?

Thanks,
Sarah

I would still rather take the Necker trip as there's no way anyone is going to get me on a VG flight;)[:I]

Put me on the Galactic flight any day. What an amazing vision the whole thing is. I guess it must be akin to when the world was being opened up by air travel.
