Hi all

Flying MAN - MCO late September and have been checking the lounge info on the Manchester web site. There are two options as I see it; Escape and Servisair.

I have heard that Servisair can be a little 'ropey', but would appreciate some impartial, no-nonsense opinions of the two lounges that are avaiable for 'pay-on-entry' mortals lacking a trillion air miles on the diamond encrusted 'flying club' card.[:w]

Is the entrance fee worth it?[:?]

We got to use teh Sevisair lounge at MAN last year, it was free due to a cock up by our holiday company and they were trying to be nice to us. IMHO it was a nicer environment to wait in than the main terminal, although it was quite small and did feel quite crowded, the food and drinks offering (especially the food) was not very good and personally I would not pay the £18 odd per person that they ask for it.

Can't comment on the Escape lounge.

Both nothing special, though the dragons on the reception desks seem to think its the entrance to paradise and they own it.

OK if you fancy getting away from the crowds, godsend if you get a delay, luxurious they are not.

I can't comment on both of these lounges in T2 so I will only suggest that if you want to get away from all of the crowds then they will be fine...providing you don't mind splashing out on whatever they will ask you for this privilege*

*Privilege to get away from the crowds.

Good luck and let us know how you get on[y]

THe servisair one is not up to much, but better than the alternative [downstairs!] Now coming back from Orlando I like the Delta crown room, no food, but lovely place, overlooking runway, peaceful -dead right.

I found the Escape Lounge to be OK - think I was in the newer half, which is the one on the right when you go up the stairs. I went into the left hand side first, but was told they were full & sent me to the right hand side. The lady in there was certainly not a dragon - she just asked me if I had my pass from check-in, I said I'd given it to the reception desk in "the other side" and that was that.

A Clubhouse, the Escape Lounge is not. Is it better than the alternative downstairs in the main departures lounge - hell yes. I've got a few pics of the lounge somewhere - I'll try and upload them here if I can work out how.

To be honest, I found the Escape Lounge to be fine before the flight. All I wanted was somewhere comfortable and quiet to spend the couple of hours before the flight - and Escape fitted this bill fine. There was also the complimentary bar / drinks & continental breakfast if you wanted it.
