Is it just the toothbrush and toothpaste we will get or will there be lip balm and moisturiser etc as additional things in there? Otherwise it will be a very empty looking shoe bag?[:?][:?] Looking forward to hearing the reviews about it! [^][^]

I'm not 100% certain but I believe the shoe bag will contain the items I mentioned above and then the crew will continue to offer additional items as before just after take-off.

Were you in PE or UC??

If you were in PE you should have recieved the see-through rucksack type kits.

The new kit release is for UC only. If you were in Upper you should have recieved either the nasty cardboard box or the much anticipated shoe bag..:D

Well people just got off the VS020 from SFO and received the ÒShoe BagÓ hahahaha!

DonÕt hold your breathÉ you open a large black cloth bag to find, 1 pair of socks, 1 eye shades, a pair of those horrible things you stick in your earsÉ. And thatÕs it for the bag (Just the scrooge pack made of cloth)[:#]!

Then the FA came around with a basket of cowshed products including lip balm, hand cream etc, a chrome pen and a packet of poloÕs that you helped yourself to, I have to admit I didnÕt see a toothbrush or paste in the collection.

So please VA was this a taster of things to come? are the FAÕs supposed to fill these prior to dishing out? I was hoping that the items would be inside the kit not a help yourself affair again[V]!!

Well they sounds like they have just thrown the cardboard out and put the contents in the sleep suit bag? G-VOPS did say they would only be the basics in there, and then the FA will come around with the rest! Why it can't be all in there like any other airline!

Oh well, look forward to what other people thought of it, hope you had a good flight.

Hi I operated the VS007 to LAX yesterday and the packs did have the toothbrush etc inside, the other products were popular and were handed out by the IFBT just after take off, no complaints from the passengers on this sector

The latest i-fly which arrived today states
"Look out for our new snooze Packs when you flt Upper Class. As well as essentials like eyeshades ,earplugs and socks it will now contain toiletries from Cowshed the Soho House spa brand who alsp provide our spa facilities at the London Heathrow clubhouse.Passenders can help themselves to Polo mints, Upper Class pens, razors and shaving cream, moisturiser and lip balm all from Cowshed. The whole ensemble comes in a shoe bag so you'll have somewhere to put your footwear when yoou relax."

I'm still not sure from this what ACTUALLY is supposed to be in the bag to start off with( no mention of toothbrushes??)and what is subsequently offered in the pick and mix basket?

I operated back from DXB yest and we had new kits in upper, they contain socks, eyeshades, earplugs and toothbrush - the extras are offered by IFBT after take off. All cowshed products plus polos razors and rather nice chrome pens. Everyone thinks a good improvement it certanally looks better anyway and there were lots of products loaded.

Ahh, finally some nice chrome pens. My chrome pens from VS UC are starting to look rather tired - the red paint on the tail on one of them is even chipped[:0] Of course, I haven't used those grey plastic ones of recent times;)

I seriously hope not! I'm looking at the Retail Therapy catalogue that came with my travel documents and you can buy one of those for £6 - they also do a men's version for £6 which contains shaving stuff in place of the woman's make-up things... Anyone silly enough to buy it for double the face value (unless it is indeed free to those up front)?

I appologise for not knowing this was a Retail Therapy item, my last VS flight was in October and this item was not part of the offering then.

This used to be such a friendly forum. The reply by Scott was informative and succinct. The reply by GrinningJackanapes was deragotary, if not patronising.

Thank you GJ, and hello. I must be unusually oversensitive at the moment! With hindsight, my original post should have been: "What is this amenity kit" or similar.
