Does anyone know if there are time limits on this? I have a couple of friends who want me to sign them up so I can get points on them - but they won't be flying until next year. I can't see anything about time constraints on the VS site, but does anyone know for sure?

you can sign them up at any time and as soon as they take a qualifing flight you will receive the recommeded points.

I tried to send emails to 2 colleagues yesterday and neither arrived.

How long does it normally take for the invitation to sign up email to arrive?

Based on my experience, it's extremely inconsistent. Out of three people I tried to sign up at the same time late last year, two never received the email.
