It was answered, earlier in the thread, but I appreciate if it's got a bit lost in the 6 pages so far

Luggage tags are no longer part of the membership, but given the interest in them, I'll shortly make some available via the V-Flyer Store.

Well somehow I always miss these sticky topics and didn't realize this thread was ever created but, I shall enter the conversation now.

Teenager parents frequently buy airline tickets for their children and themselves but are not very keen to use their credit card on something that they don't understand (aka online forum). This is the reason it took me so long to get simply a red membership kit. But hopefully by 2008 I will be in some college or university and have a piece of plastic that will enable me to pay for another five years. I do have a 100 dollar bill in the drawer right next to me, but alas I cannot scan it into my computer.[:?]

I think PayPal also do eCheques in the States, although I don't claim to understand them too well.

eChecks (eCheck is the service mark I think) are electronic funds transfers. Clear for the receiver of the funds in 3-4 days if the sender is US based or 4 to 11 if the sender is non-US based. I know the website says differently. Also PayPal's fees are less for eChecks than credit cards.

I like wires myself. Old school but easier.

I havn't put my two penneth worth in yet regarding the payment structure, been a busy week.
£50 for five years membership, I make that about 3 pence a day.... I'm not going to complain at that [y]

I can see that a casual browser might not want to pay the £2.99 for the monthly access (it would be silly to offer the 3p a day option ) when they only have a specific question they want answering. But a search of the forums often reveal a thread on many such topics anyway.
I guess its then an option of choosing to pay the £2.99 or trying to look for answers on FT..

Don't think you'll have much to worry about Pix. As it is the site is good value for money, the extra proposed features (I think separate forums for BA, BMI etc are a good idea) will just make that value better.

Commitments have kept me away for a while, but I do miss the ambience of this site. I long ago (before this thread) pledged my loyalty to this site by offering more wonga, and will be delighted to buy a new 5 year membership when they are available. I'd buy luggage tags too!

If you look in the top line of text you will see a link that says membership status, click on that and you will see when your membership expires.

Thank you as well for the kind words, as mods we are normally on the receiving end of the stick here, it is nice to have someone say such kind words.

This site is fantastic and the time and work that goes into by the guys is fantastic and I have no problem at all by paying a small membership per annum - I think when I joined up at first I gave a small donation to help things along - Keep the good work up lads and u have my full support - " I promise I will use the search engine in future"
