I have to say, I usually fly in pretty casual clothes, not untidy or unclean, but very much the casual side of smart casual.

In F on BA last year the only person more 'casual' than me was an Earl. I think dressing up to fly is a middle class thing... (Blue paper lit, retreating to safety).

When we went to the LGW Clubhouse in Dec my OH wore t-shirt , combats (camel) & timbys.I wore black cropped jeans (dressy jeans), ballet pumps & black top.

Whenever we go to a lounge we always dress smart casual but bearing in mind something comfortable for the flight.

Flying Upper is something I very much look forwards to and a matter of pride that my hard word has enabled me to do so. Its a special occasion so I wear clothes that are smart and casual. I personally think the scruffier people are the ones making a statement, like "oh I do this all the time its nothing special I got more money than yaw so there".

If everyone decides to just treat Upper Class stuff like a bus with a bigger seat then eventually thats the service we will get.

A lot of snobby people deliberately dress down, its very easy to be comfy casual and respectable to ones surroundings.

The Gucci shoes thing is just one of my quirks, I was brought up to believe smart shoes, clean nails and a good haircut was the way to go, don't ladies check out those things on a bloke anymore?[}:)]

Hey, just comes naturally to some of us I suppose :D. That's probably why I don't make a conscious decision to dress up/down because of the CH, I just remember to get dressed and that's enough!
