3 Hrs in Dubai

Calling all Dubai-ites - I'm away to India the week after next and plummed for a Z fare on VS to Dubai then connecting on to Emirates to Bangalore. Schedule is to arrive in Dubai at 0700 and the onward flight is 1145. Say we're on time and I get out pretty smartly, I'll have 2-3 hrs free - what can be done in Dubai in this time? Breakfast, shopping, any suggestions welcome!

I would not call myself a Dubai-ite by any stretch of the imagination as I have only been there the once.

However, IIRC the journey between check in and the gate has a number of security points and it took Mrs B & myself so long that the opportunity to duty free shop was seriously curtailed.

Also, the traffic in and around Dubai is really horrendous both during the morning and afternoon rush hours.

Perhaps the duty free beckons[:w]

As Buns said, considering the traffic and security (it took us a while even using EK biz class security) I wouldn't leave the airport if I were you. Having said that, you can still shop at the Duty-Free. I see you're travelling EK biz so you could just chill out in the lounge.
